Area Sales Manager, Electrical and Electronic Components, UK Wide, upto £37K Basic + annual Bonus, car, pension and Healthcare. One of the leading manufacturers of electrical components, electronic components, cable harness, cable connectors, wiring looms, etc. is seeking an experienced technical sales manager to account manage end users across the South West, South and West Midlands. This stable and dynamic manufacturer has performed well in recent years and boasts a wide product portfolio and a reputation for high quality. Tole is selling into a wide variety of end user and OEM clients including broadcasting, nuclear, defence, aerospace, instrumentation, medical, automotive and energy.
The role requires experience of selling a technical product into OEMs, gaining specification and managing the relationship across the lifetime of the product. The approach is typically selling into Design Engineer levels and whilst it is a technical sale it requires an individual with a definite commercial streak. Therefore we need an individual that is a 'chameleon of a sales professional', i.e. someone that is able to laugh and joke with 'shop floor staff' yet also be able to sell a £100K annual rolling contract to supply at the board level of a major defence contractor.
This is a highly autonomous Business Development oriented sales role that requires someone with terrific ability to 'ferret' for new opportunities within existing accounts and is a 'hunter' by nature. As a person you will be trustworthy with a strong personality and be an individual that always sells on value and quality rather than price. You will be competitive by nature with a winning spirit but also the kind of sales professional that sells with integrity and always puts the customer first. You will be self managing and be expected to use your own initiative to maximise opportunities on 'your patch'.

The role is covering South West corner of the UK and incorporates South Wales, the West Midlands and the South West. The ideal location would be a 20 mile radius of the M4/M5 interchange i.e. Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, Yeovil, Weston-super-mare, Gloucester, Chippenham, Newport.
